KawulaVoice: DEAR ABRAHAM ATTAH, THANK YOU FOR BEING A GHANAIAN!

I bring warm greetings to you Folks. "Kawula?" I hope you are all stung with pride as I am here by the name Abraham Attah. Yes, Abraham Attah the young prodigy who starred in the movie Beasts of No Nation; won a couple of international awards and presented an Oscar this year. Seriously, I didn't like the movie 'Beast of No Nation'. It's a great movie by the standards of the production and the ensemble of actors. However, the storyline seemed..........to cut to the chase, Beast of No Nation was overrated!

Dear Abraham Attah,

I am back on this walls not to critic the movie but to say "Thank you" on behalf of a long parade of proud Ghanaians. The torrents of emotions that rushed through my body when I heard your name at the OSCARS was akin to watching Black Stars at the World Cup. Had I been at the OSCARS, I would've sped unto the stage, hugged you and shout into the mic proudly "He is a Ghanaian!"

Words can express the avalanche of pride and patriotism swelling in my belly because of you. All I can say for now is "Thank you for being a Ghanaian!"
